 Cancellation Policy

I require at least 24 hours advance notice for cancellations. If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to show up, you will be charged a $100 fee for the appointment.

Therapy sessions are scheduled in advance and are a time reserved exclusively for clients. When a session is canceled without adequate notice, I am unable to offer that time slot to another client.

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment by calling, texting, or through the client portal. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, it will be treated as a cancellation and you will be charged the $100 cancellation fee. It is important to note that insurance does not cover missed appointments, so you will be responsible for the full $100 fee.

This fee will only be waived due to serious illness and emergencies. If you are unsure please contact Valerie for further guidance.

 Covid-19

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic there are some additional precautions for in-person services. Currently masks are optional for in-person sessions. Virtual sessions will be utilized when unable to meet in-person. Please let me know if the answer is yes to the below questions and I will suggest a virtual session for that week.

  • Have you or anyone in your household tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days?

  • Do you currently have any of the following symptoms?

    • Fever over 100°F, cough, chills, body aches, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell

  • Do you have any known direct exposures within the past 10 days?

 Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
