What is adjunct emdr?

Adjunct EMDR Therapy is when someone is already seeing a primary talk therapist and would like the additional support of working with an EMDR Therapist in order to process through a specific topic, memory, or negative belief.

How is adjunct EMDR Therapy different?

  • Sessions are focused on processing through specific topics.

  • Clients continue to meet with their weekly therapist.

  • Generally shorter term therapy focused on processing through stuck areas in order to continue to make progress with primary therapist.

  • Collaboration with primary talk therapist in order to help determine helpful direction to focus on in EMDR.
